Winter in Kastelruth and on the Seiser Alm

Kastelruth is a winter jewel in the heart of the South Tyrolean Dolomites (the Dolomites were given UNESCO Natural Heritage status in 2009).

From gentle winter activities in Kastelruth to family-friendly skiing in the Seiser Alm ski resort, the local area has something to offer everyone.

The nearby car-free Seiser Alm, accessed with the Seiser Alm cableway (free shuttle bus from the hotel) offers 60 km of slopes for downhill skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels,while cross-country enthusiasts (80km), ski tourers, tobogganists, winter walkers and snow-shoe hikers are also exceptionally well catered for.

A particular highlight is the panorama ski carousel around the Sellastock, which links the four Ladin valleys and ski regions – Gröden, Alta Badia, Arraba and Fassatal.
